Wallace Sword

The Wallace Sword

This mighty double handed broadsword (Left) is said to be have been carried by the Scottish patriot in battle.

The sword is on public display within the National Wallace Monument.

The pub sponsers the under 9 yr olds boys football team (above) and  propritor Mrs Billett is seen here presenting new tracksuits carrying The William Wallace logo to the team.
The club have enjoyed many successes  including winning the Scottish Cup in 1986, and were finalists in 1984 and 1987. The lads have also won tournaments throughout Britain and further afield including Holland and France.
Many boys who began playing football with the club have gone on to become professional players with senior clubs with some gaining full international caps playing for Scotland.
